Photographer Christian Cravo gathered in a book images of his travels, between 2010 and 2016, to the African continent for this project. “Luz e Sombra” presents a monumental Africa, built from fragments of animals and landscapes.
The photos were taken in seven African countries: Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Congo and Uganda.
“Africa is a continent of multiple facets, races, cultures and biodiversity. My experience before 2010 was restricted to human nature, culture and pan-African developments ”, says the photographer. In “Luz e Sombra” Christian focuses on building his own image, through issues intrinsic to light, time and space.
